Gathering and/or Creating Content
Content is the most important part of any
web site. You could have the best designed site on the web, but
if you do not have great content, your web site will not
succeed. Ask yourself, what will make visitors return to my
site? Then, ask yourself, what will make them return a second,
third and fourth time? These are the factors you will want to
address when putting together the core of your site, THE
CONTENT!
Content can consist of Graphics, Text, Links, Audio, Video...
Content may come from information that you or your company
creates and information that you buy or license.
Creating the Pages
Once we decide what will be included in the
site, we will begin to create the pages using HTML, DHTML,
JavaScript, Java, ASP, .NET, Perl, CGI,...
This stage consist of several draft reviews, as well as, content
and change deadlines to insure that the project is completed
within a realistic timeframe.
After development, we will publish the website to your web
server and begin testing.
Marketing the Site
After a site is completed and live on the
web, 100% of your energy must be turned to marketing.
You must get web users to know that your site exist and why they
should visit.
The most effective way to get the word out, is to submit your
site to search engines. Search engines use keywords to index
your site so that web users can find it. We will help you create
the keywords related to your site's content and submit your site
to the most widely used Search Engines and Directories.
Other possible Marketing methods:
-
Banner Exchange Programs
-
Topic specific Directories
-
Message Boards
-
Newsgroups
-
E-mail Campaigns
-
Current Client lists
-
Radio/TV/Newspaper/Magazine ads
Concentrate on the least expensive
first. As your web site grows, you can assign a higher budget
amount to try higher priced methods.
Marketing your web site is just as important as planning and
creation. Many people believe that all they have to do is build
it and they will come. They will only come if they know where
you are and why they should come.
